Job summary

Rexel Australia is seeking a customer-focused branch assistant to help customers and support sales and warehouse operations at our busy branch. You will work closely with our customers and branch team to deliver exceptional service.

This role involves showroom assistance, order processing, quotes, deliveries and stock checks, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliable teamwork. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, internal sales, retail, warehousing or storeperson roles is beneficial but not essential.
• Experience in electrical wholesale, hardware, building supplies or related industry is advantageous.
• Willingness to obtain forklift licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service to a wide range of electrical trades and commercial customers.
• Assist customers in the showroom, over the phone and via email.
• Respond to customer enquiries, preparing quotes and processing sales orders.
• Building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities to recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Supporting the sales team with product availability, pricing, order updates and follow-up.
• Processing and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Receiving, checking and booking in incoming stock and purchase orders.
• Picking and packing customer orders.
• Loading and unloading deliveries safely.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting stocktakes.
• Keeping the showroom, warehouse and surrounding areas clean, safe and well organised.
• Completing deliveries in a safe and courteous manner while complying with all road rules.
• Contributing to our strong safety culture and following all workplace health and safety procedures.
