South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional to join the team supporting the Chief Executive’s portfolio. You will conduct risk-based audits, advisory reviews, data analysis and provide practical recommendations to strengthen governance and organisational performance across the district.

The role involves collaboration with executive leaders, managers, and clinical/corporate services, with opportunities to impact patient and staff outcomes

Qualifications

• Associate, full membership or working towards full membership with IIA Australia, CPA Australia/New Zealand, ISACA or CA Australia/New Zealand.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Law, Healthcare Management (or related), Nursing, Allied Health or Information Systems and relevant extensive work experience.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen governance, accountability and organisational performance with executive leaders, managers, and clinical/corporate services.
• Conduct risk-based audits and advisory reviews, analyse data, identify improvement opportunities and support effective risk management.
• Contribute recommendations that add value across the organisation.
