Job summary

St Vincent’s Public Hospital in Sydney seeks an Intern Pharmacist (unregistered) for a 1-year max-term contract. You will work under a Pharmacist supervisor, supporting inpatient and outpatient services, medication management, and pharmaceutical care planning while gaining hands-on experience in compounding and drug information delivery.

The role requires a Pharmacy degree, provisional registration eligibility, and enrollment in an Intern Training Program.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacy degree completed and eligible for provisional registration with AHPRA.
  • Eligible to enrol in an approved Intern Training Program prior to commencement.
  • Strong pharmacology knowledge and ability to apply it clinically.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and ability to counsel patients.

Responsibilities

  • Support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services and clinical care planning.
  • Provide patient counselling and drug information to patients, carers and staff.
  • Participate in pharmaceutical manufacturing and extemporaneous preparation with safety controls.
  • Join pharmacy practice research, including a specific project.
