Morson Edge (Australia) is partnering with a well-established Sydney HVAC and Mechanical Services contractor to recruit Intermediate and Senior Estimators for large-scale projects. You will prepare detailed HVAC/mechanical estimates, review drawings, and coordinate pricing for hospitals, data centres, and major commercial developments.

Qualifications

• Experience as Intermediate or Senior Estimator in HVAC/Mechanical Services contracting.
• Exposure to Tier 1 or major projects.
• Experience delivering estimates for hospitals, data centres, or major commercial developments.
• Projects valued up to $80M.
• Advanced Bluebeam capability.
• Strong Excel and cost analysis skills.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings and specs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Stable employment history in mechanical services.

About The Role

Due to continued growth and recent changes within the team, an opportunity has become available for Intermediate and Senior Estimators to join a high-performing pre-construction division.

Reporting into senior leadership, you will play a key role in preparing detailed and competitive HVAC/mechanical estimates across major projects throughout Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate HVAC/mechanical estimates and tender submissions
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
• Performing detailed take-offs and cost planning
• Coordinating supplier and subcontractor pricing
• Supporting the delivery of large-scale commercial, healthcare, and data centre projects
• Managing multiple tenders simultaneously within strict deadlines
• Utilising Bluebeam and Excel extensively throughout the estimating process
• Assisting with value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders throughout the tender lifecycle

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an Intermediate or Senior Estimator within HVAC / Mechanical Services contracting
• Strong Tier 1 or major project exposure
• Experience delivering estimates across hospitals, data centres, or major commercial developments
• Exposure to projects valued up to $80M
• Advanced Bluebeam capability
• Strong Excel and cost analysis skills
• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Stable employment history within the mechanical services industry
