Job summary

Lawson Elliott Recruitment is seeking an Intermediate/Senior Accountant for a progressive CA firm in Gosford. The role offers hybrid work arrangements and a salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 plus super and benefits, including study support.

You will manage client portfolios, liaise with clients via email, phone, and in person, and gain exposure to diverse entities while preparing accounts, tax returns, BAS, GST, FBT, and financial reports.

Qualifications

• 2+ years local experience in a Business Services role.
• Currently studying, or completed your CA/CPA qualification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; committed to team performance.

Responsibilities

In this role as an Business Services Accountant you will be expected to:

• Be responsible for and assist in managing a portfolio of clients
• Work closely with clients - communicating through emails, phone, and in person
• Gain experience working across various entities such as groups, companies, partnerships, trusts, and individuals
• Prepare accounts, tax returns, BAS, GST and FBT etc
• Prepare financial reports

The firm itself deals with a wide range of clients from HNWI's and family groups, SME's and corporate clients. You will get experience across all areas of Tax and other tasks which you may not experience in other similar sized firms.

To be successful for this role you will:

• Have a minimum of 2+years local experience in a similar Business Services role
• Be currentlystudying, or completed, yourCA/CPA qualification
• Be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be committed to working in a collaborative and high performing team environment
