Job summary

Workforce International in Newcastle, NSW is seeking a skilled Rigger for an ASAP start. You will rig and unrig loads, assist with crane lifts, and ensure every task complies with safety standards and regulations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years’ experience as a rigger, holds a high‑risk work licence (RI or RA), and a valid OHS White Card. An Open Crane Licence (C0) is highly regarded, and you must pass a pre‑employment check including a physical and D&A screening.

Job description

Our client is a recognised leader in the advanced manufacturing of bespoke precast concrete structures.

As a Rigger, you’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently rigging and unrigging loads, ensuring that all work is completed in compliance with all safety standards and regulations, including duties such as:

Assisting with the rigging and unrigging of loads, including the selection, inspection, and use of appropriate rigging equipment.

Assisting with crane lifts

Safely securing and moving loads using a variety of rigging techniques

Ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with relevant safety standards and regulations

Collaborating with team members to identify and mitigate potential risks

ASAP start for the right person

$43.93 - $47.29/hour + OT + super

Monday – Friday (Casual position with potential view to permanency for the right candidate)

Ample opportunities for overtime due to project-based work

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

Have minimum 5 years’ experience as a rigger

Hold relevant high-risk work licence (RI or RA)

Open Crane Licence (C0) not essential, but highly regarded

Ability to pass a pre-employment check including a physical assessment and D&A screening

Hold a valid OHS White Card

Have a strong understanding of rigging principles and techniques

Familiarity with the safe use and operation of rigging equipment, such as slings, hooks and shackles
