Advanced Cranes in Picton, NSW is seeking an experienced Intermediate/Advanced Rigger for a full-time role covering preparation, assembly, installation, climbing and dismantling of tower cranes across construction sites throughout Sydney.

You will load and transport components, install ties and frames, read lift plans and SWMS, and work safely at heights with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Intermediate or Advanced Rigger.
• Current RI or RA High Risk Work Licence.
• Current HR Driver Licence.
• Experience in tower crane installation, dismantling or heavy machinery assembly.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and lift plans.

About the Role

Advanced Cranes is seeking an experienced Intermediate/Advanced Rigger to join our team in Picton, NSW. This is a full-time position involving the preparation, assembly, installation, climbing and dismantling of tower cranes across construction sites throughout Sydney.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing tower cranes and associated components at our Picton yard prior to installation.

• Loading, transporting and unloading tower crane components, equipment and materials to construction sites.

• Assembling, installing, climbing and dismantling tower cranes, including tower sections, jibs, counterweights and associated components.

• Installing and removing tower crane ties, climbing frames and structural supports.

• Inspecting, preparing and maintaining rigging equipment, lifting accessories and crane components.

• Assisting with mechanical assembly, alignment, securing and connection of tower crane components.

• Safely attaching, lifting and positioning crane components using mobile cranes and other lifting equipment.

• Operating company rigid trucks to complete deliveries between the yard and construction sites.

• Reading and following crane installation manuals, engineering drawings, lift plans and SWMS.

• Coordinating with crane operators, dogmen and site supervisors to ensure safe and efficient installations.

• Identifying and resolving issues during crane preparation, installation and dismantling.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Intermediate or Advanced Rigger.

• Current Intermediate (RI) or Advanced Rigging (RA) High Risk Work Licence.

• Current HR Driver Licence.

• Experience in tower crane installation, dismantling or heavy machinery assembly highly regarded.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical experience using hand and power tools.

• Good understanding of rigging techniques, lifting equipment and load calculations.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, installation manuals and lift plans.

• Comfortable working at heights and undertaking physically demanding work.

• Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe lifting practices.
