Job summary

Hart Recruitment Ltd in Sydney CBD is partnering with a large boutique CA firm to hire an ambitious Intermediate Accountant. The role offers flexible working arrangements including two days work from home and exposure to a variety of clients.

You will be part of a supportive team, handle financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS/GST, FBT, CGT and assist in tax planning, with potential to participate in external audits. Training and CA/CPA support provided.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years' local hands-on experience in a CA firm.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for client-facing work.
• Self-starter with drive and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for SMEs, high net-worth individuals, partnerships and trusts.
• Prepare BAS, IAS and GST reconciliations.
• Prepare FBT returns and identify CGT and Div7a considerations.
• Assist in tax planning and liaise with ATO and regulators.
• Opportunity to work on external audit projects if desired.

Opportunity for an ambitious Intermediate Accountant has come available to the marketplace to join this large boutiqueCA firm in Sydney CBD. You will be a part of an organisation that provides strong training and development to fast track your knowledge and career. This CA firm works with a variety of clients including SMEs, family groups, investments, NFPs and large private businesses.

Working with a supportive Manager, you will be responsible for:

• The preparation financial statements and tax returns for various SMEs, high net-worth individuals, partnerships and trusts
• Preparation of BAS, IAS and GST reconciliations
• Preparation of FBT returns
• Identifying and application of CGT and Div7a
• Assist in tax planning
• Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies in relation to clients' tax issues

Opportunity to work on a few external audit jobs if desired

Ideal requirements:

• 2-3+ years' local hands-on experience in a CA firm
• CA/CPA studying or upon commencement
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills due to the potential client facing nature of role
• A self-starter with drive and attention to detail
• Exposure to external audit a bonus but not essential
