Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for various entities.
• Prepare BAS, IAS and other compliance work.
• Support tax planning and advisory projects.
• Produce management reports and financial analysis for clients.
• Liaise with clients and build trusted relationships.
• Assist with cloud accounting solutions (Xero and others).
• Research technical tax and accounting matters.
• Assist with ATO correspondence and compliance.
• Manage workflow, deadlines and deliverables.

About the Role

You will become a key member of our Business Services team, working across a broad range of accounting, taxation and advisory engagements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
• Preparing BAS, IAS and other compliance-related work
• Assisting with tax planning and business advisory projects
• Preparing management reports and financial analysis for clients
• Liaising directly with clients and building trusted relationships
• Supporting clients with cloud accounting solutions, including Xero and other accounting platforms
• Researching technical tax and accounting matters
• Assisting with ATO correspondence and compliance requirements
• Managing workflow, deadlines and client deliverables

About You

• 2 years' experience within an Australian public practice in a Business Services environment
• Could still be an undergraduate with experience or a Graduate with experience and just commencing your CA/CPA
• Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Eagerness to learn and develop your career
