Job summary

Planned Resources - Town Planning & Urban Design Recruitment is seeking an Interior Architect for a Melbourne-based Adelaide studio client. This hybrid role focuses on high-end residential projects and requires hands-on design, visualization, and client-facing delivery.

You will own end-to-end projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with a small team using AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray and Adobe Suite to produce compelling designs and presentations.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years in a similar role
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp (non-Revit) is essential
• Exceptional client-facing skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations with a “personalized service” mindset
• Collaborative team player ready to mentor junior staff

Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for an Interior Architect on behalf of an Adelaide studio. This established Adelaide studio is looking for a proactive professional with a passion for personalised, client-focused design to work with their tight-knit team and hit the ground running with a full pipeline of high-end, bespoke residential projects.

The Studio:

With 11 years of success under their belt, this firm is known for its highly tailored service and a deeply collaborative culture. Based in Adelaide’s inner suburbs, they manage a diverse portfolio across Adelaide and Melbourne, ranging from $10M new builds and large-scale renovations to detailed commercial fit-outs.

The Role

Stepping in to support the Director, you will take ownership of both existing and new projects. This is a highly visible, client-facing role where you will:

• Work alongside a talented team of five, maintaining the high morale and strong work ethic the studio is known for.
• Manage the end-to-end process for “mainstream” builder clients and private residential commissions.
• Drive documentation and visualization using AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, and Adobe Suite.

About You:

• Experience:4–5+ years in a similar role, ideally within a boutique or small-to-mid-sized practice.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp (this is a non-Revit office) is essential.
• Exceptional client-facing skills and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations with a “personalized service” mindset.
• A collaborative team player with high professional integrity who is ready to mentor junior staff (many of whom started as grads).
