Professional Search Group is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for an initial three-month contract in West Perth. The role is hands-on, leading the finance team, overseeing month-end, financial reporting, controls, and day-to-day accounting within a mining services environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders, maintain continuity through the transition, and bring practical, low-ego leadership to the established finance function.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior operational finance leader.
• Strong hands-on financial accounting and management reporting experience.
• Experience leading and supporting a finance team.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Availability to commence immediately or at short notice.
• CA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent qualification highly regarded.

• Lead the day-to-day finance function and provide support and direction to the finance team.
• Take ownership of month-end and financial reporting requirements.
• Review management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and financial information.
• Maintain strong financial controls and reporting disciplines.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow requirements.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information to senior management.
• Assist with statutory reporting, audit and compliance requirements where required.
• Work closely with operational and senior stakeholders across the business.
• Resolve accounting and reporting issues as they arise.
• Remain hands-on and support the team across the detail when required.

Calling all heroes (immediately available accountants), we are recruiting on behalf of an established resources business for an experienced, hands‑on Financial Controller to provide immediate leadership across the finance function.

This is an initial three‑month contract supporting the business through a period of transition. The successful candidate will step into an established finance function, lead the team, maintain continuity and ensure the day‑to‑day financial operations continue to run smoothly.
