Finance Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of an established Western Australian not-for-profit organisation for an experienced Finance Manager to lead a small finance team and take ownership across reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and compliance.

This is a broad, hands‑on opportunity working closely with an experienced CFO and senior operational stakeholders across the organisation.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will oversee the day-to-day finance function while providing financial insight and support to senior and program managers.

You will take ownership of budgeting, cash flow forecasting, monthly reporting, financial analysis and acquittals, while also supporting project costing and financial modelling for organisational initiatives and government tenders.

The position also has responsibility for audit, risk, investment, internal controls and finance process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support a small finance team.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash flow models.
  • Deliver timely monthly financial and management reporting.
  • Undertake financial modelling, analysis and project costing.
  • Support financial modelling for government tenders and funding opportunities.
  • Prepare financial acquittals and stakeholder reporting.
  • Coordinate external audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee payroll audits, invoice approvals and financial controls.
  • Prepare reporting for Board and Finance Committee stakeholders.
  • Partner with senior and program managers to improve financial understanding.
  • Develop and improve finance procedures, processes and internal controls.
  • Support risk management, insurance and investment activities.

We are seeking an experienced finance professional with:

  • Strong Finance Manager / Financial Controller experience.
  • Excellent budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting capability.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience managing and developing finance staff.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience across audit, compliance and internal controls.
  • A practical, hands‑on approach to finance.
  • CPA/CA qualification highly regarded.
  • Not-for-profit, community services, aged care or government‑funded sector experience highly regarded.
  • TechnologyOne / CiA experience advantageous, although strong ERP adaptability will also be considered.
