Job summary

Gamuda Australia seeks an experienced Interface Manager to join the Sydney Metro West – Stations Package West, leading interface management across design, construction and rail systems.

You will coordinate internal teams, contractors and stakeholders; manage ICDs, registers and risk with regular reporting and escalation to senior leadership.

Interface Manager – Sydney Metro West | Stations Package West

Gamuda Australia is seeking an experienced Interface Manager to join the team delivering the Sydney Metro West Stations Package – a major multi-billion-dollar infrastructure project delivering new metro stations, station fit-out and associated Integrated Station Developments (ISDs).

This is a key role responsible for managing complex interfaces across design, construction, engineering, services, contractors and stakeholders, ensuring issues are identified early, coordinated and successfully resolved.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage and produce the project’s interface management processes, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), registers and matrices.
• Identify and manage interfaces across design, construction, engineering, MEPF, rail systems and station fit-out including interfaces with other Sydney Meto West Contractors (TSMO, Linewide, Electronic Ticketing System, etc.), Third Parties and Sydney Metro.
• Coordinate interfaces between internal teams, subcontractors, consultants and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate interface workshops and drive timely resolution of interface issues.
• Identify interface risks and assess potential programme, technical and commercial impacts.
• Work closely with Design, Engineering, Construction, Planning and Commercial teams.
• Track interface actions, responsibilities and close-out requirements.
• Provide regular reporting and **escalate** critical interface risks to senior project leadership.

About You

• Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in interface management on major infrastructure or construction projects.
• Experience across rail, metro, stations, tunnelling or complex building projects.
• Strong understanding of design and construction interfaces and project sequencing.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to proactively identify and resolve complex project interfaces.
• Experience with Sydney Metro, station construction/fit-out, MEPF, rail systems, tunnelling or Integrated Station Developments will be highly regarded.
