Job summary

Department for Education in South Australia is seeking an Intensive English Language Program Manager within the EALD and Aboriginal Languages Unit to drive IELP/NAP across metropolitan, country and remote sites.

The role focuses on accelerating English proficiency for learners to access the curriculum, with high-level liaison across directorates and school leaders to deliver state-wide improvements and professional learning.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in education and current teacher registration.
• Desirable: Experience in contemporary evidenced-informed EALD practices.
• Special conditions: Department for Human Services (WWCC) required before employment and renewed every five years; RRHAN–EC Masterclass (or online Fundamentals) updated every three years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IELP/NAP across metropolitan, country and geographically isolated sites.
• Accelerate English language development to access the curriculum.
• Engage in high-level liaison and negotiation across the system to improve IELP programs and learning for culturally and linguistically diverse learners.
