Job summary

The Department for Education in Adelaide invites applications for a Policy and Project Officer, EALD, to help drive policy and improvements within the General Support program while coordinating LEAP Levels professional learning.

You will work with the EALD team to ensure high-quality data collection and evidence-informed practices, enabling educators to address diverse EALD learner needs across South Australian public schools.

Qualifications

• Essential: A tertiary qualification in education and current full teacher registration.
• Desirable: Experience in contemporary evidenced informed EALD practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead ongoing policy and implementation improvements within the General Support program.
• Co-designs and leads state-wide professional learning using LEAP Levels, including LEAP App quality assurance processes to ensure consistent, high quality EALD data collection.
• Collaborate to build professional learning communities and implement evidence informed EALD practices to empower educators to respond to the needs of learners of EALD in local contexts.

Current full teacher registration

Experience in EALD practices (Desirable)
