Job summary

Youth Justice and Victim Support – Mermaid Beach QLD is seeking an Intensive Case Management (ICM) Caseworker to deliver quality statutory casework for young people under youth justice intervention.

The role involves weekly engagement with families, community organisations and other key stakeholders, preparing court-related documents, and coordinating a therapeutic case plan to support education, housing and health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth justice casework or social work preferred.
• Strong assessment and engagement skills with families and communities.
• Ability to prepare pre-sentence reports, affidavits and court documents.
• Cultural capability and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Responsibilities

• Provide best practice statutory casework with minimal supervision.
• Engage with families, community organisations and stakeholders weekly.
• Prepare information and evidence for the Children's Court and liaise with court stakeholders.
• Coordinate therapeutic case plans and assist with employment, education, housing and health needs.
• Maintain case records and prepare reports in compliance with policy.
