Job summary

Victoria Police is seeking a VPS3 Analyst for the Wodonga Family Violence Investigation Unit to provide intelligence support to frontline police and investigators. The role focuses on identifying risks posed by perpetrators, coordinating investigations, and driving strategic intelligence activities to protect victims and the community.

You will work within the FVIU, contributing to daily intelligence tasks, maintaining databases and producing timely briefings.

Qualifications

• Experience in intelligence or investigative environments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of data sources, metadata and intelligence processes.

Responsibilities

• Collect, evaluate and disseminate intelligence to support investigations.
• Produce high-quality intelligence products, assessments and briefings.
• Maintain knowledge of family violence themes and intelligence methodologies.
• Identify targets or target areas and track risk trends.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to share and validate information.
• Prepare management reports and maintain intelligence databases.
