Job summary

Queensland Corrective Services – Mareeba QLD is seeking an Intelligence Analyst responsible for collecting, evaluating and disseminating timely intelligence to Agency personnel and external stakeholders. You will identify and report intelligence concerns to assist decisions and minimise risks to the community.

The role emphasises using the QCS Intelligence System, IOMS module and Analyst Notebook to develop hypotheses and inform security actions within the correctional environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
• Ability to identify threats and risks using structured methods.
• Familiarity with intelligence lifecycle and dissemination procedures.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain human source intelligence (including prisoners, staff and visitors).
• Utilise Prisoner Telephone System data and call records.
• Review data contained in QCS indices including intelligence systems.
• Utilise QCS Intel system to retain information.
• Develop operational hypotheses regarding security risk issues within a correctional centre.
