Job summary

Wollondilly Shire Council is seeking a governance/compliance professional to strengthen integrity and good governance across the organisation. You will collaborate across functional areas to respond to feedback, promote ethics, and support legislative compliance.

Join Wollondilly Shire Council on the southern fringe of Sydney, with a 35-hour week, flex-time and working from home arrangements, plus a supportive environment that emphasises accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.

• Salary commencing from $1,799.63 per week + 12% Superannuation
• 35-hour week

To succeed in this position, you will meet the following criteria:

• Tertiary qualifications in governance, business, law, public administration, compliance, risk management, investigations and/or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Demonstrated experience in governance, integrity, legislative compliance or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing complaints, enquiries or other customer feedback.
• Experience interpreting and applying legislation, policies and procedures.
• Strong research and analytical skills including the ability to problem solve complex issues and identify issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, high-quality work within required timeframes, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
