Job summary

Nes Fircroft is seeking an Integrity Engineer in Williamstown, SA to support fixed asset integrity programs and improve asset reliability. You will collaborate with Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance to provide technical support and drive integrity across facilities.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical, Chemical or Materials Engineering degree with experience in oil & gas or heavy industry, including in-service inspection, FFS assessments, and RBI/NDE practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Materials Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in oil and gas or heavy industrial environments.
• In-service inspection and Fitness-for-Service experience.
• Knowledge of materials engineering and corrosion management.
• Experience with NDE/NDT and RBI methodologies.
• Familiarity with AS, ASME, API, AMPP and BS/ISO codes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support fixed asset and pressure equipment integrity programs, including piping, vessels, corrosion management, and relief valves.
• Provide technical support, review, and execution of integrity programs across Operations and Maintenance.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers and stakeholders to prioritise integrity activities and deliver outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement and integrity performance KPIs.
• Maintain understanding of safety case requirements and performance standards.
• Recommend repairs and MoC processes for piping and equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of failures.
• Conduct or support Fitness-for-Service assessments on in-service equipment.
• Stay current with industry standards and integrity management developments.

We are seeking an Integrity Engineer to support fixed asset integrity programs and contribute to the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facility assets. The successful candidate will work closely with Asset Management, Operations, and Maintenance teams, providing technical support across integrity activities and contributing to the ongoing improvement of asset reliability and integrity management practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Support fixed asset and pressure equipment integrity programs, including piping, pressure vessels, corrosion integrity management, and pressure relief valves.
• Provide technical support, review, and execution of integrity programs across Operations and Maintenance.
• Work collaboratively with technicians, engineers, and other stakeholders to prioritise integrity activities and deliver agreed outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to integrity performance KPIs.
• Maintain an understanding of relevant safety case requirements and performance standards.
• Provide recommendations for repairs and maintenance of piping and pressure equipment, including supporting Management of Change (MoC) processes.
• Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment failures and recurring issues.
• Conduct or support Fitness-for-Service (FFS) assessments on in-service equipment.
• Keep up to date with relevant industry standards, engineering practices, and developments in integrity management.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

• A degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in the oil and gas or a related heavy industrial environment.
• Experience with in-service inspection and Fitness-for-Service assessments.
• Knowledge of materials engineering and corrosion management.
• Experience with Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE/NDT).
• Familiarity with Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) methodologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards, including AS, ASME, API, AMPP, and BS/ISO.
