Job summary

DFP Recruitment seeks an experienced Lead Integrity Engineer to join a major energy operation in Victoria, Australia, leading critical asset integrity programs across site.

You will act as the focal point for fixed asset integrity, provide technical leadership, oversee inspection and corrosion management, support operational reliability and mentor a team of engineers and technicians to deliver safe and compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials Engineering (or related field).
  • Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Fitness-for-Service (FFS), Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), materials and corrosion engineering, NDE, and pressure equipment integrity.
  • Working knowledge of AS, ASME, API, AMPP, and ISO standards.
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead integrity programs for piping, pressure vessels, corrosion management, and pressure relief systems
  • Provide technical oversight and support to Operations and Maintenance teams
  • Conduct Fitness-for-Service assessments and integrity evaluations
  • Lead root cause investigations and reliability improvement initiatives
  • Manage repair recommendations and Management of Change processes
  • Drive integrity performance, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Mentor and lead engineers and technicians in a collaborative team environment

Job description

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Lead Integrity Engineer to join a major energy operation and lead critical asset integrity programs across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead integrity programs for piping, pressure vessels, corrosion management, and pressure relief systems
  • Provide technical oversight and support to Operations and Maintenance teams
  • Conduct Fitness-for-Service assessments and integrity evaluations
  • Lead root cause investigations and reliability improvement initiatives

About You
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or related Engineering discipline
  • Experience within oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Fitness-for-Service (FFS)
    • Risk-Based Inspection (RBI)
    • Materials and corrosion engineering
    • Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE)
    • Pressure equipment integrity programs
  • Sound understanding of AS, ASME, API, AMPP, and ISO standards
  • Proven leadership, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
