Job summary

Safe Transport Victoria (ST Vic) seeks an Integration Business Analyst to shape integration requirements across internal systems and external partners. You will define data and interface needs, create user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborate with architects, developers and vendors to resolve gaps.

You will also support SIT/UAT and ensure readiness for BAU operations. Ideal candidates will have experience in system integration projects, familiarity with APIs and data exchanges, and

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering business analysis for system integration, digital or technology projects, including requirements definition, data and interface analysis and supporting integration testing.
• Experience working with APIs, SFTP or file-based data exchanges, data mapping, Salesforce or relevant integration platforms, and external agencies or vendors will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Driving business analysis activities to define integration, data and interface requirements
• Facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions across business and technical teams
• Analysing system interactions, data flows, data mapping, business rules and any integration impacts
• Translating requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria and clear integration documentation
• Supporting backlog refinement, delivery planning and management of cross-system dependencies
• Working closely with solution architects, developers, vendors and external agencies to clarify requirements and resolve gaps
• Supporting SIT, UAT and end-to-end integration testing, including defect triage and requirements validation
• Supporting implementation, operational readiness and transition into BAU operations

About the Role

Reporting to the IT Program Manager, the Integration Business Analyst plays a key role in ST Vic's technology delivery, supporting the design and delivery of integrations between internal systems and external partners.

Working closely with project teams, business stakeholders and technical specialists, the role brings clarity to integration requirements, system and data impacts, and supports delivery through testing and implementation.

The responsibilities of the Integration Business Analyst will include, but are not limited to:

• Driving business analysis activities to define integration, data and interface requirements
• Facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions across business and technical teams
• Analysing system interactions, data flows, data mapping, business rules and any integration impacts

Demonstrated experience delivering business analysis for system integration, digital or technology projects, including requirements definition, data and interface analysis and supporting integration testing.

Experience working with APIs, SFTP or file-based data exchanges, data mapping, Salesforce or relevant integration platforms, and external agencies or vendors will be highly regarded.

About You

The successful candidate will be a capable and adaptable business analyst with strong communication skills, sound judgement and a practical approach to solving integration problems.

You will be comfortable working across business and technical teams, able to understand complex system and data interactions and turn them into clear, practical requirements.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Technology or a related discipline are desirable.
• Professional Business Analysis and/or Agile certifications, such as CBAP, CCBA, SAFe or Lean Agile, are highly desirable.
• Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
