Job summary

Responsive Building in Queensland and New South Wales is seeking experienced Estimators to join our team. You will prepare accurate repair scopes and cost estimates for residential insurance repair projects, reviewing plans and documentation.

As part of a high-performing builder, you will liaise with insurers, assessors, trades, suppliers and internal teams, manage multiple estimates, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining repair quality.

Qualifications

• Residential construction knowledge and insurance repair experience.
• Ability to interpret plans, scopes of works and assessor reports.
• Experience using estimating software and meeting insurer requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare repair scopes, quotations and cost estimates for residential insurance repairs.
• Review assessment reports, plans and photos to determine repair requirements.
• Prepare estimates using estimating software and insurer standards.
• Liaise with insurers, assessors, clients, trades, suppliers and internal teams.
• Obtain and review subcontractor quotations.
• Identify variations, risks and cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
• Manage multiple estimates and priorities to meet deadlines.
• Support operations during CAT events and high workload periods.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in estimating accuracy and efficiency.
