Job summary

Meridian Lawyers is seeking a motivated Associate to join the General Insurance team in our Sydney office. You will typically have at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in insurance litigation and a keen interest in the field.

You will work on a broad range of public and product liability, professional liability and general insurance matters. You’ll manage matters with direct client contact, guided by Principal and Senior Lawyers, in a collaborative, mentoring environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ post admission experience in insurance litigation.
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with initiative and autonomy.
• Proactive client service orientation and work ethic.
• Experience handling multiple matters with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage own matters and maintain high client contact under supervision.
• Work on public, product, professional and general insurance matters.
• Develop advocacy, strategic-advice and practice-management skills.
• Collaborate with Principal and Senior Lawyers in a collegiate team.
