Job summary

Logan City Council is seeking an Insurance Officer to support insurance policy and claims management across the organisation. This hands-on role focuses on administration, records, and stakeholder coordination within a professional council environment.

The position runs Monday to Friday, with a contract from 11 November 2026 to 30 June 2027 and a pay rate of $44.99/hr plus Super. Opportunities for extension exist.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration and records management.
• Strong systems knowledge and excellent attention to detail.
• Insurance and/or claims management experience.
• Understanding of risk and compliance principles.
• Outstanding customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supporting insurance policy and claims management activities
• Preparing claims briefs and coordinating defence packages
• Managing records administration and maintaining accurate documentation
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Providing exceptional customer service and professional communication
• Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and escalating issues when required
• Taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion
