Zusammenfassung

Howden Group is seeking an Assistant Insurance Broking Accountant in Sydney to support financial management for our insurance broking platforms, primarily Howden Equine. You will report to the IBA Manager – AUS, oversee IBA ledgers, client and insurer reconciliations, and trust accounts while collaborating with brokers and auditors.

The role includes receipting, validating bank details, and assisting with ESL/NRIT returns, with opportunities to support broader finance tasks.

Qualifikationen

• Accounting or related qualifications.
• 2+ years in accounting roles; insurance experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of tax regimes and duties such as ESL/NRIT is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Maintain IBA ledgers within broking platforms and perform reconciliations.
• Manage client ledgers and insurer reconciliations with brokers and credit control.
• Reconcile insurer accounts and IBA trust bank accounts; resolve reconciling items promptly.
• Process receipting, review unallocated cash, and handle IBA payments and refunds.
