Howden Pacific in Sydney seeks an Assistant Accountant to support financial management of insurance broking platforms, focusing on Howden Equine. You will oversee IBA ledgers, client and insurer reconciliations, and trust accounts, partnering with brokers, finance, and auditors. The role may include journals and variance analysis.

You will bring accounting qualifications and 2+ years’ experience; proficiency in Excel/Word/Outlook is essential. A hybrid/office role with career growth is offered.

Formación

• Accounting qualification or related.
• 2+ years in an accounting role.
• Insurance industry experience preferred.
• Strong Excel, Word and Outlook skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong reconciliation ability.

Responsabilidades

• Manage IBA ledgers across broking platforms.
• Attend to debtor/creditor reconciliations and client ledgers.
• Reconcile insurer accounts and IBA trust accounts.
• Process receipting, unallocated cash and payments.
• Validate bank details, rates and calculations in the system.
