Job summary

Rapid Solutions is seeking an Insurance Broker to manage, grow and develop a client portfolio across general insurance in Australia. You’ll work with clients to understand risks, arrange appropriate cover and deliver high-quality service throughout each policy’s life.

The role requires 5+ years in general insurance brokerage, a Tier 1 RG 146 qualification and eligibility to be appointed as an Authorised Representative. Strong communication and relationship skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in general insurance brokerage
• Tier 1 General Insurance qualification (RG 146 compliant) and eligibility to be appointed as an Authorised Representative
• Strong knowledge of general insurance products, policy wordings and underwriting principles
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Strong organisation and time management skills
• Confidence managing a portfolio and working to deadlines
• Intermediate MS Office and insurance/broking systems experience

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of new and existing clients, including quotes, renewals, claims and policy changes
• Identify client needs and risk exposures and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
• Prepare and present quotes, proposals and renewal documentation
• Negotiate appropriate terms and pricing
• Build strong client, insurer and referrer relationships
• Use consultative sales techniques to convert leads and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities
• Proactively manage renewals and client retention
• Support clients through the claims process and advocate on their behalf
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation in line with regulatory and compliance requirements
• Work collaboratively with internal teams

About the role

Are you an experienced insurance professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, finding solutions and making insurance easier for customers?

Rapid Solutions is looking for an Insurance Broker to join our team and manage, grow and develop a portfolio of clients across general insurance in a niche industry sector spanning all States and Territories in Australia.

You’ll work closely with clients to understand risks, arrange appropriate cover and deliver a high level of service throughout the life of each policy.

What you’re doing

• Manage a portfolio of new and existing clients, including quotes, renewals, claims and policy changes


• Identify client needs and risk exposures and recommend appropriate insurance solutions

About you

We’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, client-focused and confident navigating the general insurance environment.

You’ll bring:

• Demonstrated experience of 5 or more years in general insurance brokerage


• A Tier 1 General Insurance qualification (RG 146 compliant) and eligibility to be appointed as an Authorised Representative


• Strong knowledge of general insurance products, policy wordings and underwriting principles


• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills


• Strong organisation and time management skills


• Confidence managing a portfolio and working to deadlines


• Intermediate Microsoft Office and insurance/broking systems experience

What would be advantageous

• A strong track record across sales, conversion and retention


• Strong questioning and fact-finding skills to uncover client needs


• Experience supporting clients through the claims process
