Job summary

Northern Health is seeking an Instrument Technician Grade 2 to join the Central Sterilisation Services Department (CSSD) on a part-time ongoing basis. The role requires a team player with flexibility to work across Northern Health campuses and a commitment to maintaining sterile services to a high standard.

You will follow standard processes for cleaning, disinfecting, packing, sterilising, storage and dispatching of sterile reusable medical devices, and you will apply knowledge of AS5369:2023

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AS5369:2023.
• Willing to learn NH CSSD policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow NH CSSD policy and procedures for cleaning, disinfecting, packing, sterilising, storage and dispatching of sterile reusable medical devices
• Be flexible to work across NH campuses and as part of a team

Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and enthusiastic Instrument Technician Grade 2 to join and start their career in Central Sterilisation Services Department (CSSD).

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our five main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.

About the Role

This role requires a team player who has flexibility to work across Northern Health campuses

This role is responsible for ensuring that CSSD provides services to their consumers continuously and without delay by following standard processes.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Willing to learn and be guided by NH CSSD Policy & Procedures in cleaning, disinfecting, packing, sterilising, storage and dispatching of sterile reusable medical devices
• Knowledge of AS5369:2023
