Job summary

Kinexus is seeking a qualified candidate to join our defence-focused training and simulation team in Canberra. The role targets individuals with supervisory experience at Officer/SNCO level across services and a strong background in simulation tools and joint operations.

Ideal applicants will hold an NV1 defence clearance and bring mature, self-starting professionalism with street credibility in defence training.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years experience in simulation or defence
• Broad military doctrine and training functions
• Troubleshoot technical problems and develop solutions
• Understand ADF training management

Responsibilities

• Supervise the application and development of training activities
• Assist in the planning and execution of training scenarios
• Develop simulation scenarios and training events
• Work with technical teams to design develop and test activities
• Assess and assure simulation deliverables meeting defined exercise requirements
• Maintain simulation databases to assess accurate data
• Train virtual and constructive simulation
• Provide support for personnel on training courses or activities
• Provide insights and support to systems operators
• Manage and fault find the system on a needs basis
• Provide SME advice on simulation systems and virtual environments

Our client is seeking a candidate that has the experience of working in a busy HQ group. The role is designed for candidates who have held a supervisor's role as Officer/SNCO in either of the three services. Candidates who understand simulation tools used in joint operations would be an advantage. Candidates who have been exposed to joint operations from an Arms Corp or Combat Systems background would be ideal. The Role:

Experience Required:

• 5-10 years experience in simulation and or defence experience
• sound experience with broad military doctrine and training functions
