Job summary

Inter IKEA Systems B.V. in Canberra is seeking an Interior Design Co-worker to bring the IKEA vision to life on the shop floor.

You will create inspiring room settings, design displays, and ensure installations meet safety and quality standards while aligning with visual merchandising guidelines. This temporary, full-time role requires a qualification in Interior Design, strong visual flair, and proficiency with Revit or SketchUp.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Interior Design or related design education.
• Strong visual competence and an eye for aesthetics, detail and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Create inspiring room settings that showcase functional, stylish and affordable home furnishings.
• Use customer insights, local trends and market knowledge to design relevant solutions.
• Plan, build and maintain store displays aligned with IKEA visual merchandising standards.
• Style and construct room sets, displays and vignettes that are inspiring and commercially effective.
• Collaborate with Sales and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.
• Contribute to store projects, seasonal implementations, range changes and layout improvements.
• Ensure displays meet safety, quality and efficiency standards.
