Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy, and ability to respond to student learning needs.
• Experience in planning high impact teaching strategies guided by how students learn, and evaluating learning growth.
• Experience in monitoring and assessing student learning; using data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Interpersonal and communication skills; experience establishing collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the community.
• Behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values; experience reflecting on practice and engaging in professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individuals; delivering planned programs.
• Contribute to curriculum development, implementation and evaluation within the school.
• Undertake classroom teaching duties and related organisational tasks as directed by leadership.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties as required.
