Job summary

Harris Invictus Academy Croydon is seeking a dedicated Teacher of Business Studies to join our vibrant team. You will deliver a broad business curriculum to 11-18 students, plan engaging lessons, assess progress and support achievement across GCSE and Sixth Form.

The successful candidate will hold QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree, have strong ICT skills, and be committed to raising standards and opportunities for all learners within a diverse urban context.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• Secondary teaching experience at a multi-ethnic urban school setting (11–18).
• Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3/KS4 and ability to write lesson plans, develop resources and assess students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a broad, balanced, differentiated curriculum and support a designated curriculum area.
• Monitor and support the progress and development of students as a teacher and tutor.
• Create a motivating and safe learning environment and communicate with parents and stakeholders.
• Raise standards of attainment and provide opportunities for personal and academic growth.
• Plan lessons, develop resources and syllabuses, and contribute to the departmental plan.
