Job summary

Halcyon Knights in Melbourne is seeking a Data Analyst - Insights to join a large hospitality group. This contract to June 2027 offers hybrid work and a chance to build forecasting capability by turning data into actionable insights rather than mere reporting.

You will analyse drivers, trends, variances and build Power BI views to track the impact of changes, working with the forecasting lead and insights team to influence venue performance.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL, comfortable with large, messy datasets.
• Solid Power BI experience.
• Proven examples of insights that improved business performance.
• Ability to explain analysis simply to non-technical stakeholders.
• Background in customer, marketing, product or operational analytics.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the forecasting project with analysis that explains drivers, trends and variances.
• Investigating customer behaviour, marketing, product and operational performance across the venue network.
• Turning findings into clear recommendations for head office and operations teams.
• Building Power BI views that track the impact of those changes.
• Working closely with the forecasting lead and insights team.
