Job summary

Canberra Grammar School is seeking an engaging Design and Technology Teacher for a one-term parental leave position in Term 1, 2027. The role spans Digital Technologies, CAD, robotics and coding within the Senior School, with opportunities to contribute to pastoral care and co-curricular programs.

You will join a collaborative Technologies team and bring strong subject knowledge, practical learning approaches and a passion for helping students explore technology to solve real-world problems.

Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant tertiary degree and recognised teaching qualification.
• Current ACT teacher registration through ACT Teacher Quality Institute.
• Valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration.
• HLTAID009 – CPR and HLTAID011 – First Aid, or willingness to obtain them.
• Current National Police Check.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Teach Design and Technology across secondary years, including Digital Technologies, Applied Information Technology, CAD, robotics and coding.
• Bring technology and creative problem-solving to life in the classroom.
• Contribute to pastoral care, co-curricular activities and broader school life.
• Engage in out-of-hours commitments across the school calendar.
