Job summary

Stockyard Beef Pty in Brisbane seeks an Innovation Officer for a 12‑month fixed‑term parental leave contract. You will help identify opportunities, drive projects to improve productivity, sustainability, and business value across the organisation.

You’ll evaluate new technologies, coordinate initiatives from idea to implementation, and collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to deliver practical outcomes.

Innovation Officer - Fixed Term Parental Leave Contract

We're looking for an Innovation Officer who is curious, commercially minded and passionate about finding better ways of doing things.This is a unique opportunity to work across our business and help deliver projects that improve productivity, support sustainability and create lasting business value.Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer - Pastoral & Livestock, you'll help identify opportunities, drive innovation projects and turn great ideas into real-world outcomes.This role is a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months.

skills & Qualifications

You are naturally curious, commercially minded and passionate about driving continuous improvement. You enjoy working across diverse teams and can balance strategic thinking with practical execution.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• A tertiary qualification in agriculture, science, commerce or a related field.
• Experience in innovation, project management, business improvement or a similar role.
• Exposure to agriculture, food production or agribusiness.
• Strong analytical and project management capability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint.
