Job summary

Camden Council is seeking an Injury Management Advisor to lead injury prevention, recovery, and claims management at our Works Depot. You will develop tailored Recover at Work Plans, manage workers’ compensation from start to finish, and promote safety and wellbeing across the workforce.

You will collaborate with employees, healthcare providers, and managers to ensure safe, sustainable returns to work and contribute to injury prevention strategies and training.

Qualifications

• Return to Work Coordinator qualifications and current unrestricted membership with a relevant professional body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA, or AASW).
• Experience managing workers’ compensation claims and Recover at Work plans.
• Understanding of regulatory and legislative frameworks and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate care and support for workplace injuries and illnesses.
• Develop and manage Recover at Work Plans with stakeholders.
• Oversee end-to-end injury management and workers’ compensation processes.
• Deliver advice on injury prevention and early intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with WHS teams to identify hazards and improve safety.

What you'll be doing

Provide immediate careand support for workplace injuries and illnesses

Develop and manageRecover at Work Plans in collaboration with stakeholders

Oversee the end-to-endinjury management process, including workers’ compensation claims

Deliver expert advice oninjury prevention and early intervention strategies

Collaborate with WHSteams to identify hazards and improve occupational health

Maintain accuraterecords and analyse injury data to inform future strategies

Support people leadersin building their capability to manage injured workers effectively

What we're looking for

ProfessionalQualifications:Returnto Work Coordinator qualifications and current unrestricted membershipwith a relevant professional body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA, or AASW),supported by on-the-job experience in injury management

Injury ManagementExpertise:Demonstratedexperience managing workers’ compensation claims, developing Recover atWork plans, and collaborating with a range of stakeholders to support safeand sustainable return to work outcomes

Legislative Knowledge:Strongunderstanding of relevant regulatory and legislative frameworks, with theability to educate others and ensure compliance at the local level

Strategic Collaboration:Proven ability toalign injury management strategies with broader organisational goals,working effectively across teams and disciplines

Communication &Influence:Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused approachto building relationships and influencing outcomes.

Time Management:Exceptionalorganisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities anddeliver timely results

Stakeholder Engagement:A collaborativemindset and the ability to foster strong working relationships acrossmultidisciplinary teams to drive positive return to work outcomes
