Job summary

West HQ is seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Systems Engineer to architect, maintain, and enhance our mission-critical ICT environment across multiple venues in Sydney. This hands-on role focuses on stability, security, and performance, coordinating network, server, cloud, and security operations.

You will design and optimise network infrastructure, administer Windows Server and AD, lead major incidents, and drive infrastructure upgrades with vendors and MSPs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Network Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Advanced networking experience (Cisco/Meraki/Aruba or equivalent).
• Strong background in AD, Windows Server, virtualisation, and backup platforms.
• Proven experience leading major incidents.
• Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/AZ‑104/MS‑500 are highly regarded.
• PM certifications (Agile, PMP, PMBoK, Prince2) are valued.

Responsibilities

• Design, support, and optimise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, routing, switching, firewalls).
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualisation, and storage systems.
• Lead P1/P2 incident response and provide Level 3 engineering support.
• Manage patching, lifecycle upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
• Maintain network and systems security, including vulnerability remediation.
• Deliver infrastructure projects from design through implementation.
• Work with vendors, carriers, and MSPs on complex technical resolutions.
