Job summary

Transport for NSW seeks an E&S Environment Lead – Infrastructure Sustainability for a temporary opportunity up to 2 years. Based in Sydney, NSW (with preferred locations in Sydney CBD or Newcastle), you will provide strategic environmental and sustainability advice to support complex infrastructure delivery and advance greener outcomes for the transport network.

You will lead environmental impact assessments, regulatory approvals, and compliance activities; identify risks and opportunities;

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering environmental and sustainability outcomes in infrastructure or major projects.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, impact assessment processes, and regulatory approvals.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic environmental and sustainability advice to support delivery of infrastructure projects.
• Lead environmental impact assessments, compliance activities and sustainability initiatives.
• Identify environmental risks and opportunities and develop practical project delivery solutions.
• Review and endorse environmental management plans, assessments and reports.
• Partner with project teams, contractors and regulators to embed best practice across the asset lifecycle.
• Drive a culture of environmental accountability through coaching and continuous improvement.
