Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Senior Environment & Sustainability Officer for a temporary opportunity up to 16 months, based in Macquarie Park, NSW. The role focuses on delivering environmental and sustainability requirements across projects, working with teams to identify risks and ensure compliance.

You’ll support reviews of environmental factors, promote sustainable outcomes, and contribute to policy-shaping initiatives in the transport sector.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NSW environmental legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing the delivery of environmental impact assessments.
• Experience monitoring environmental performance and providing practical advice to stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of environmental risk identification, assessment, and management.
• Ability to support project teams in delivering sustainable and environmentally responsible outcomes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Management, Sustainability, Planning, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll:
