Job summary

VivCourt Trading is seeking an experienced IT Operations engineer to maintain and optimize our high-performance, low-latency infrastructure across global exchanges. You will own network design, security, and disaster recovery decisions, collaborating with a collaborative team to deliver precise, reliable systems.

You’ll work with RHEL on bare-metal hardware and hypervisors, focusing on resilience, automation, and fast incident response in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a similar network/infra role.
• Experience designing at core and WAN level with routing protocols.
• Experience with low-latency, high-availability infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize high-performance, low-latency infrastructure.
• Design and implement security controls and disaster recovery procedures for critical systems.
• Lead maintenance windows and upgrades across exchanges and co-location providers.
• Improve configuration management, observability, and tooling (Ansible, Zabbix, Python).

Join our IT Operations Team

As a key part of our IT Operations team, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize our high-performance, low-latency infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring the resilience and security of systems located at global exchanges, running on enterprise bare-metal hardware, FPGA-accelerated components, and low-latency network architectures. You'll work directly on infrastructure where nanosecond-level latency decisions have real financial consequences.

• Deep networking, non-negotiable: You design at core and WAN level, not just configure. BGP, OSPF and firewall policy are yours to own, and you debug from packet captures. Working knowledge isn't enough — you'll be asked to justify your design choices, not just apply them

What you’ll do:

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL): Support, tune, and optimize RHEL systems running on bare-metal hardware and hypervisors for low-latency, high-performance execution.
• Network Operations & HA: Maintain highly available routing and multicast environments using BGP, OSPF, PIM, and IGMP, with hands-on experience across colocation and on-prem switching and connectivity.
• Security & Resilience: Design and implement security controls and disaster recovery procedures for mission-critical financial infrastructure, with direct input into risk and architecture decisions.
• Planning & Coordination: Lead maintenance windows and operational upgrades, coordinating across internal teams and external exchanges and colocation providers under time-sensitive conditions.
• Automation: Improve our configuration management, observability, and operational tooling (Ansible, Zabbix, Python).
