Fujitsu Australia is seeking an Infrastructure Consultant / Senior Consultant to deliver specialist DevSecOps, platform engineering and automation services. The role focuses on secure Defence environments and inference across cloud, hybrid and on‑premises platforms.

On‑site work is required in Canberra or Brisbane with Australian citizenship and NV2 security clearance needed. The role involves developing IaC, automating configurations, building CI/CD pipelines, and aligning deployment artefacts

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years' work experience in IT, systems design, integration or consulting with a tertiary qualification
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, ARM/Bicep or equivalent technologies
  • Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps, infrastructure automation and secure software delivery practices
  • Experience with Git-based source control and configuration-as-code practices
  • Experience supporting Kubernetes, containerised and/or virtualised environments
  • Experience implementing automated security scanning and compliance validation

About the role

We are seeking an Infrastructure Consultant / Senior Consultant to provide specialist DevSecOps, platform engineering and infrastructure automation services to Fujitsu clients, with a particular focus on secure Defence environments.

The role develops repeatable Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD and configuration automation capabilities that improve deployment consistency, security, compliance and platform lifecycle management across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments

.This role requires on-site working.

Australian Citizenship is mandatory. Current or reinstatable AGSVA NV2 Security clearance required.

Location: Canberra or Brisbane location

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and reusable automation patterns for application, platform and infrastructure deployments.
  • Codify approved infrastructure, configuration and security baselines to enable consistent, repeatable deployment across multiple environments.
  • Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, integrating build, test, security scanning, compliance validation, release and deployment activities.
  • Maintain infrastructure, configuration and deployment artefacts within source-controlled repositories and support appropriate release and change governance.
  • Develop automation supporting containerised, virtualised, middleware, database and infrastructure platforms.
  • Support platform lifecycle activities including provisioning, patching, End-of-Life remediation, scaling, resilience, recovery and platform uplift.
  • Implement configuration management, drift detection and automated reconciliation against approved baselines.
  • Embed security controls, vulnerability assessment and compliance validation within automated deployment processes.
    • Produce deployment records, validation evidence and technical artefacts supporting client security assurance and accreditation activities.
  • Support secure software supply-chain practices and maintain traceability between source, build artefacts, releases and operational deployments.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, engineering artefacts, runbooks and operational procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Fujitsu, client and partner engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, improve automation and identify opportunities for continual improvement.

Requirements and Experience
Essential
Key Skills:
  • 3 – 6 years' work experience in information technology, IT systems, systems design, integration, or consulting, coupled with a tertiary qualification
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, ARM/Bicep or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps, infrastructure automation and secure software delivery practices.
  • Experience with Git-based source control and configuration-as-code practices.
  • Experience supporting Kubernetes, containerised and/or virtualised environments.
  • Experience implementing automated security scanning, configuration management and compliance validation.
  • Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux enterprise environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and technical documentation skills.

  • Experience working within Australian Defence, Federal Government or other highly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of Defence security accreditation, Authority to Operate and security assurance processes.
  • Experience with Defence DevSecOps Software Factory environments.
  • Understanding of immutable infrastructure, platform standardisation and automated configuration compliance.
  • Experience developing solutions capable of deployment across on-premises, hybrid and cloud-enabled environments.
  • Relevant Microsoft, Kubernetes, Red Hat or DevOps certifications are desirable.
