Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal Deutschland GmbH seeks an experienced Risk Manager to lead operational and enterprise risk engagements in Australia. You will design and embed risk frameworks, identify principal risks, and drive remediation with clients.

The role emphasizes governance, RCSA facilitation, and direct interaction with board-level stakeholders. Travel and cross-border collaboration are expected as part of the engagement model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, risk management, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in operational and enterprise risk management, internal audit or consulting.
• Hands-on ownership of a risk framework: taxonomy, registers, appetite, KRIs and libraries.
• Experience running RCSAs and testing control design and effectiveness.
• Familiarity with ISO 31000, ISO17776 and other resilience regimes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ORM and ERM engagements, including framework design, risk assessment, controls testing and remediation.
• Embed risk frameworks linking principal risks to taxonomies and risk registers.
• Lead top-down risk identification across strategic, financial and regulatory areas.
• Deliver risk governance enhancements and reporting to boards and committees.
• Coach junior staff and develop client relationships for future business.
