Job summary

Talent is seeking an Infrastructure Analyst to support Windows and Linux server environments in Melbourne. The role focuses on day-to-day operations, system monitoring, and routine administrative tasks to maintain stability for enterprise infrastructure services.

The ideal candidate has solid Windows Server and Linux administration experience, virtualization knowledge (VMware/Hyper‑V), patch management, and ITSM tool exposure. NV1 clearance and Australian citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience administering Windows Server and Linux OS.
• Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure support and virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V).
• Understanding patch management, security best practices, and compliance standards.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools.
• Basic networking knowledge (DNS/DHCP/TCP/IP).
• Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations for Windows and Linux servers, including provisioning, configuration, patching, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis within SLAs.
• Manage patching and security updates per organizational policies.
• Monitor system health, analyze logs, and implement performance improvements.
• Develop scripts to automate processes using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Provide technical guidance and maintain documentation with cross-disciplinary teams.
