Job summary

Delta is seeking an IT Support Officer to join our team at Vales Point Power Station on the Central Coast. You will provide responsive IT support to Delta employees, manage service requests, and help deliver reliable technology services.

You will administer IT services and assets, support end-user devices, and work with our Technology team to maintain security controls and software updates. This role requires a proactive communicator with strong organisational skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience providing IT support and troubleshooting in a business environment.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel between Delta sites and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive IT support to end users and manage service requests.
  • Administer IT services including devices, access, licenses and applications.
  • Monitor and improve Delta's technology environment and security controls.
  • Manage IT assets and lifecycle activities including procurement and documentation.

IT Support Officer

Location: Vales Point Power Station

Employment Type: Permanent full-time, on-site

What will you do?

The Information Technology Support Officer provides responsive, customer-focused IT support to Delta employees and assists with the delivery, maintenance and improvement of Delta's technology services. The role supports end users, manages service requests and technology assets, assists with business systems administration and broader technology services, and works closely with internal teams and service providers to deliver secure, reliable and practical IT services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver responsive IT support to end users by resolving technical issues, managing service requests through the IT Help Desk, and providing practical advice to meet business needs.
  • Administer and support IT services, including end-user devices, user access, software licensing and business applications, and assist the broader IT team in delivering reliable technology services.
  • Assist with the monitoring, maintenance and continuous improvement of Delta's technology environment, including software updates, patching activities, and security controls and initiatives.
  • Manage IT assets and technology lifecycle activities, including procurement, installation, upgrades, replacements, maintenance, record keeping and technology documentation.
  • Collaborate with employees, contractors, service providers and the Technology team to support operational activities, projects, knowledge sharing and the effective use of technology services.
  • What are we looking for?
  • Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience with desktop systems support.
  • Demonstrated experience providing IT support and troubleshooting hardware, software and technology-related issues in a business environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies and end-user systems, including Windows, Microsoft 365, desktop/mobile devices and business applications.
  • Strong customer service, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, maintain accurate records and support users with varying technical capabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop technical knowledge, with experience supporting users in an operational, industrial or corporate environment. Occasional travel between Delta sites when required. Current car drivers licence required.
