Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence to join a remote team supporting operations in Queenstown. You will identify, analyze, and disseminate intelligence on current and emerging cyber threats to empower the security team.

The role requires 2–4 years in cybersecurity with a focus on threat intelligence, plus experience with TIPs and SIEM. Fully remote in South Africa with flexible hours and access to advanced tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; specialized certifications in threat intelligence are a significant advantage.
• 2-4 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a specific focus or demonstrated passion for threat intelligence analysis.
• Proficiency in analyzing various types of threat data and generating actionable insights.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs), SIEM systems, and security frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor threat intelligence sources (OSINT, dark web, commercial feeds).
• Analyze threat actor TTPs to assess impact on the organization.
• Develop actionable intelligence reports, advisories, and briefings for security operations and leadership.
• Support incident response with context and IOCs for ongoing threats.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate threat intelligence into security controls and detection.

• Support incident response activities by providing context and indicators of compromise (IOCs) related to ongoing threats.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate threat intelligence into security controls and detection mechanisms.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of threat intelligence platforms and processes.
