Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assisting cybersecurity program assessments utilising recognised industry frameworks.
• Scoping, planning and implementing uplift programmes within customer environments to support cyber security goals.
• Assisting customers with Security Incidents.
• Deploying, managing and troubleshooting IT and IT Security related Controls and Applications.
• Assisting customers with the configuration of their security controls.
• Assisting with Response and Recovery Plan, Playbook writing and review.
• Assisting with evaluating cybersecurity risk profiles in relation to technical conditions and business significance.
• Analysing security risks, developing effective treatments.
• Articulating risks and recommended treatments to business stakeholders.
• Involvement in internal projects to help innovate security engineering.
• Supporting Security Consulting and Penetration Testing teams where required.

We are seeking an Information Security Analyst to join the team on a full-time basis. This is a great opportunity to step into a Security role if you have worked in the IT industry for a couple of years. This role will suit somebody who has worked in a service desk or has been part of the technical team at a managed service provider. You must believe amazing customer service is a non-negotiable!

This is a highly technical role with 80% of your time being on the tools. This role is not suitable for individuals with no experience in IT engineering or support.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting cybersecurity program assessments utilising recognised industry frameworks

Due to the nature of the role, the ideal candidate will be located in Melbourne and able to attend the office.

About you

• A good understanding of cyber security concepts
• Hands on technical experience in Microsoft 365 and Azure, predominately, but experience in AWS and Google Cloud would be advantageous
• Some hands on experience with tooling such as EDR and SIEM would be preferred
• Have a keen desire to learn and absorb new technologies including AI for automation and process improvement
• Have a risk-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
• Be able to work independently and within a team
• Have a proven ability to solve problems independently
