Job summary

Carinity Brownesholme in Highfields, Queensland, seeks an experienced Clinical Nurse - Infection Control. You will provide clinical leadership in infection prevention, act as IPC lead, and mentor staff within a Residential Aged Care setting.

Availability Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and on-call shifts is required. You will be based in Highfields, working in a 76-hour fortnights schedule, contributing to high-quality clinical care aligned with Carinity policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
• Post graduate qualification in infection control or willingness to obtain.
• Strong clinical background in Aged Care.
• Mentoring skills to guide a care team in clinical best practice.
• Knowledge of ACFI assessments and aged care documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership on infection prevention and control practices.
• Lead infection prevention initiatives to safeguard residents, staff and visitors.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to infection risks, incidents and outbreaks.
• Assist development and review of infection prevention policies and procedures.
• Educate, mentor and support staff in best practices for infection prevention.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to minimise infection risks and enhance resident care.
