Job summary

Bendigo Kangan Institute is seeking an Industry Placement Coordinator to connect students with quality industry placements. Based in Bendigo with occasional travel to other campuses, you will source hosts, manage matching, and coordinate end-to-end placements with a compliant, student-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in business or marketing, or substantial experience in an educational or VET setting.
• Demonstrated success building industry partnerships and developing placement opportunities.
• Experience coordinating end-to-end placements, including student matching, compliance and logistics.
• Confidence using placement management systems, with strong attention to data accuracy and documentation.
• Sound judgement to resolve placement issues professionally and ensure placements meet relevant requirements.
• Strong planning, communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to balance future placement needs and current priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain industry partnerships, identify new hosts and secure quality placement opportunities across multiple courses.
• Coordinate end-to-end placements, including student matching, scheduling, logistics and communication with hosts.
• Ensure placement agreements, documentation and processes meet regulatory, industry and educational requirements.
• Maintain accurate placement records using systems such as InPlace and Placeright, and use technology to improve efficiency.
• Guide students and industry partners through placement requirements, resolve concerns and resolve complex issues appropriately.
• Use feedback and placement data to improve processes and contribute to the success of the centralised placement team.
