Job summary

Building Industry Training (BIT) is seeking an Industry and Student Support Officer to help drive trainer efficiency and effectiveness across Queensland and NSW. You will coordinate trainer and student engagement, ensure compliance, and support data submission and reporting for RTO requirements.

You will work with the BD team to maximise training delivery efficiency, maintain evidence for audits, and liaise with employers and students to strengthen engagement and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trainer and student engagement including client engagement and follow up to ensure training delivery outcomes.
• Liaise with trainers, employers and students in Queensland and NSW and other stakeholders to support BIT team.
• Ensure obligations for compliance and reporting are met.
• Assist in gathering and maintaining evidence of trainer and assessor compliance, site visits and related information.
• Assist in preparation and submission of reports and visits with the BD team to key stakeholders.
• Conduct and analyse internal and external surveys.
• Provide development support and advice to trainers on workload management, documentation and logistics.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in trainer and student file preparation and evidence keeping per RTO record keeping requirements.
• Research, analyse and report data to inform current and emerging issues affecting trainer activities and business operations.

Job description

As an Industry and Student Support Officer (ISSO), you will play a pivotal role in driving trainer efficiency and effectiveness within our RTO. Your main responsibilities will be to coordinate trainer and student engagement including client engagement and follow up to ensure that our operational and training delivery outcomes are achieved in line with the requirements of the VET Quality Framework and various State Government funding contracts. You will work closely with our trainers and business development officers to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency in our training delivery.

Key responsibilities

Liaise with trainers, employers and students in Queensland and NSW and other stakeholders that be contacted to support the broader BIT team.

Ensure obligations for compliance and reporting are met.

Support the team in gathering and maintaining evidence of trainer and assessor compliance, site visits and associated customer engagement information.

Assist with the preparation of submissions to and/or coordinated visits with the BD team to key stakeholders.

Assist in the preparation and presentation of reporting to management.

Conduct and analyse internal and external surveys.

Provide development support and advice to our trainers and assessors on workload management, documentation and general logistics support including service bookings etc.

Building and maintaining relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Assist in trainer and student file preparation and maintain evidence as per record keeping requirements for an RTO.

Researching, analysing and reporting data to inform current and future emerging issues that may impact on trainer activities and business operations.

About you
